Here are five spring 2015 events coming up that you won’t want to miss.
1. Spring Grüv in Park City
Dates: March 20, 2015 – March 29, 2015
Canyons Resort brings you the 8th annual Spring Grüv event in Park City. Come out and enjoy 10 days of free Resort Village concerts, the world-famous Pond Skimming Contest, and so much more.
Party hardy at the Park City Pond Skimming Contest, where contestants prance around in costume. The costume motto is: the funkier the better. Each one must make an effort to cross the 100-foot pond on a snowboard or skis.
All this happens near Red Pine Lodge, at mid-mountain level. Spectators are welcome, and encouraged, and must have a gondola ticket or use a lift to watch the contest.
2. Epic Mix Scavenger Hunt
Date: March 28, 2015
Each participant at the Epic Mix Scavenger Hunt in Park City will receive a list with clues on it. There will be teams, consisting of two or more people, with at least one picture-taking device. The team that captures the most interesting, creative photos, based on the scavenger hunt list, takes the win.
For spring 2015, the Hawaiian Theme rules. Spring Gruv will be going on at the same time. The Hawaiian style party will help celebrate the onset of spring. So, pull out those grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts and come out and celebrate Park City style.
3. Snowasis at Park City
Dates: March 28, 2015 – April 05, 2015
This week-long family festival helps to kick off the spring season at Park City Mountain Resort. Enjoy the prestige of the Resort plaza, with breathtaking mountain views, complete with snow fun for the entire family.
Some of the activities at Snowasis 2015 will include:
- Scavenger hunt
- Kids après parties
4. Park City Western BBQ
Date: April 04, 2015
Park City locals and tourists alike will come together this spring for the Western BBQ. There, you can take a scenic trip to the Red Pine Gondola, a famous 8,000-foot ride. When it lands at right at mid-mountain at Red Pine Lodge, you’ll find world-renowned Park City Western BBQ awaiting your arrival.
The Western BBQ menu includes a buffet. It features the specialty, chicken, BBQ ribs and prime rib, all slow-cooked to perfection, along with a dessert buffet. Each meal comes with a non-alcoholic beverage. And, kids under 5 eat free.
5. Boxzilla 2015
Date: April 11, 2015 – April 11, 2015
Boxilla, the notorious monster feature, returns to Park City’s Canyon Resort this spring! Come out and experience the pain and havoc of trying to conquer Boxilla.
This thing is more 200 feet long, making it a major feat to ride it to the end. Many have tried to duplicate Boxilla, to no avail. Today, in 2015, it remains a Canyons original.
