Deer Valley Resort® is a stunning ski resort in Deer Valley, UT, with beautiful real estate tucked among the mountains, excellent restaurants, local activities to enjoy, and of course, acres of slopes for you and the whole family to ski.
To make the most out of your family Deer Valley Resort® ski vacation, here are some things you may want to tackle before your vacation.
Book Your Lift Tickets Prior To Your Trip
If you want to ensure that the whole family has lift tickets for your entire ski vacation, it is best if you purchase them beforehand. For one thing, if you purchase your lift tickets early enough, you may be able to snag a good deal and save a bit on your tickets.
Also, depending on what dates your family ski trip falls, the lift tickets may be sold out if you wait until you arrive at the Deer Valley Resort® to buy the tickets. Christmas and New Year are the most commonly sold-out dates, but other dates can become busy as well, so it is best to take care of your lift tickets before your trip.
Prioritize Lodging Needs
Deer Valley Resort® has premier ski-in, ski-out accommodations, making your family ski vacation as immersive as possible. There are also other types of lodgings available, from more budget-friendly accommodations just off of the resort to larger private vacation homes for rent so that you can bring as many immediate and extended family members as you want.
However, like with the lift tickets, these lodgings can become booked quickly. If you would like your pick of the lodgings, it is best that you book your accommodations at least a couple of months prior to your family vacation.
Research Restaurants Before The Trip
There are a lot of fantastic dining options in Deer Valley, as well as in the larger town of Park City. From five-star restaurants to experiential meals where you have to take a sleigh ride to reach a recreation of a Viking Yurt, there is much to see, smell, and of course, eat!
To be sure that your family finds the right eateries for their preference, you should definitely take the time to research the restaurants and make a list of where you all would like to eat. Some of these restaurants require reservations, so be sure you know if you need to make any reservations before heading over to the restaurant.
Consider Other Activity Options At Deer Valley And Off-Deer Valley Resort
Within Deer Valley Resort® and in Park City proper, there are plenty of other activity options that you can add to your family ski trip for some added fun!
- Children’s Center – Children from ages two months to 12 years can enjoy the Children’s Center. There are plenty of activities and high staff-to-child ratio to keep your kids entertained when they are all done skiing.
- Shopping options – From craftsman boutique stores to outlets shopping, there is a lot of excellent shopping options for the whole family in Park City.
- Egyptian Theatre – Live theater is always a treat, and no matter what time of year your family ski vacation falls into, there is always a play available at the Egyptian Theatre.
