How To Set Up The Perfect Kitchen For Better Return On Your Park City Real Estate

A home is a serious investment, and one of the most stable that you can select when trying to build lasting wealth for yourself and your family. Park City, Utah is among the most beautiful and luxurious regions in the state of Utah, and a popular destination for people around the world. It is the perfect place to settle down and purchase a home.

But no matter how incredible your home is, you should always be on the lookout for ways to increase your property value. We at Jensen and Company work with Mario Ferreira and Barclay Butera Interiors. Mario is an expert in the high scale interior design industry and we asked him to gather a list of four aspects your kitchen should include that will yield a much better return on your real estate investment – if done properly.

Your Countertops Make a Big Impact

One of the first things people notice when they are in a kitchen are the counters. From the amount of counter space available, to the quality of the material used, it is an important aspect of your culinary experience.

Space for appliances, materials that are strong and easy to clean, layout and prep space, and color scheme are all important factors to consider when planning for new counter tops.

If you are looking for a great way to increase space (and a real value booster), consider installing an island. This is not only excellent for cooking, but it gives you a place to sit and do other tasks.

Cabinets, Appliances, and Design

Storage is very important when it comes to kitchens as most people run out of space. We like to keep cookware behind cabinet doors and we love large deep drawer space to store our pots and pans.

Designate space solely for appliances in the kitchen to avoid running from one end of the kitchen to the other. We also recommend having seating at the end of the counter. This allows social gathering and conversation while cooking. It also serves as additional seating for every event.

Ditch High Maintenance Flooring

Avoid using inexpensive materials in the kitchen. The kitchen is the highest traffic area of any home and should be durable as well as aesthetically pleasing. Use materials that do not stain easily and easy to clean.

Hardwood is a great option if you want something timeless, classic, and easy to maintain. The look can be changed by refinishing instead of replacing the next time the kitchen needs an update. If you prefer tiles use quality tiles or natural stone and keeps the stone sealed for longer wear as well as making it easy to clean.

Well Planned Lighting Enhances Your Investments

Good lighting is your ace in the hole. Lighting can completely change and enhance your interior design.

Make sure to give yourself a generous lighting budget. Guests will gather in this space often as you entertain. Your lighting can be a fun, creative outlet in your design. There are some great pendants available that offer more than just functional light.

Design your work spaces with good lighting and you may want to design gathering spaces with adjustable lighting so you can create a mood for dining and socializing.
