Outdoor Park City Spring Break Activities
One of the main attractions of spending your spring break vacation in Park City is the range of outdoor activities you can enjoy. If you need some ideas, here are some popular outdoor Park City spring break activities.
Skiing and Snowboarding
As many of the ski resorts in and around Park City will be open until the second week of April, you can plan to go skiing or snowboarding during your spring break. Some of the resorts, such as Deer Valley Resort®, do not allow snowboarding. So, be sure you know what is allowed before buying passes.
On the slopes, you can enjoy runs ranging from beginner to double black diamond. You can also sign up to go skiing with an Olympic skier or for lessons to improve your time on the slopes. There are also kid ski school lessons available for young outdoor enthusiasts in your life.
Utah Olympic Park
Created for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Utah Olympic Park is a great spot to try out a bunch of outdoor activities in Park City. Some of the popular winter activities you can try over spring break are:
Snowshoeing
Take on the stunning backcountry of the Wasatch Mountain Range with a pair of snowshoes during your spring break. There are equipment rentals, so you don’t have to pack your own snowshoes, and you can hire a guide to help you find the best sights then get you back safely.
Fly Fishing
It is possible to fly fish even with snow on the ground. There are multiple fly fishing companies you can choose from to make your Park City fly fishing the best possible. Also, if you book with a company, you can be fully kitted out with the right gear and provided with snacks and lunch!
Ice Skating
When you want to glide across the ice, you can choose from either enjoying an outdoor ice skating rink or an indoor rink. Both of these facilities have ice skates to rent, and everyone, from large groups to individuals visiting Park City on their own, can have fun on the ice for a few hours.
