The ability to stay fit and participate in every variety of outdoor recreation is one of the many things that makes vacationing and living in Park City so great. If your winter pounds are weighing you down, now is the time to get back in shape. Park City has great facilities to help you do it.
Setting a workout schedule is an important thing to consider. There are plenty of recreational centers and activities to help you meet your fitness goal. Basin Recreation and Park City Municipal Athletic and Recreation Center (PC MARC) are two organizations with something for everyone.
Get In Shape at Basin Recreation
Those residing in the Snyderville Basin can enjoy quality parks and recreation experiences, both indoor and out with Basin Recreation. There are plenty of opportunities for families of every age to participate in the recreational activities provided.
The main field house offers a 48,000 square foot athletic center, complete with an indoor turf field, cardio machines, weight room, indoor running track, batting cages with pitching machines, and an open area available for special events and specialty workout games.
If you’re the kind of person who likes to exercise outside, Basin can help with that too. They have six operating parks for kids and adults alike. The parks are outfitted for sports fields, play structures, and more, so everyone can enjoy their preferred form of exercise.
They also offer more than 140 miles of non-motorized trails so you can run, bike, walk, or hike to your heart’s desire. The greenery and mountain recreation is one feature that makes Park City such an amazing place to live, and the Basin Recreation center gives you a first-hand look at the beauty.
Get a Workout at PC MARC
There’s something for every family member at the city’s PC MARC, including 11 tennis courts, seasonal lap and leisure pools, pickle ball courts, basketball gymnasiums, bouldering walls, cardio equipment, weight machines, game rooms, an indoor track, group fitness studios, a pro shop, and much more.
This is one of Park City’s largest indoor recreation centers, which is perfect if you’re visiting in the winter months. But if you’re planning on going during the summer, you’ll also want to check out some of the scenery outside. They have several sports fields with scheduled competitions that anyone can join.
They also offer special classes for both indoor and outdoor recreation. This summer, for example, they’ll be holding a mountain biking clinic for women. This rec center is easy to find, and one of the many perks of having a home here. If you want more Park City activity information you may like to take a look at our events page.
